Drinking adequate water, maintaining a healthy body weight, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption further protect nerve health.


Adequate sleep and stress management are equally important. During sleep, the brain processes information, repairs tissues, and supports healthy nerve communication. Chronic stress can negatively affect the nervous system by increasing muscle tension, fatigue, anxiety, and pain. Relaxation techniques, deep breathing exercises, meditation, regular exercise, and proper sleep hygiene can help maintain optimal nervous system function.
